After the successful release of their 5th Album “Chapter 5: The Dawn Of Revival”, Go-Explo has received the biggest ‘nod’ in the gospel music industry by bagging three nominations for the 2023 Crown Gospel Music Awards. Their nominations are for the Best Gospel Producer (Album), Best Gospel Group and Best Worship Song for their hit single “Ufanel’udumo”.

The nominations party was hosted on the 13th of October at Sandton where various artists graced the event draped in all white regalia, waiting in anticipation to hear their name(s) being called out as one of the blessed nominees.

Go Explo has worked steadily to becoming one of the country’s greatest music ensambles. Boasting a Crown Gospel Award, 2 x INGOMA Awards and A CLIMA Africa Award for Best Choir Of The Year (across Africa), Go-Explo is a seasoned gospel group that takes pride in unearthing fresh talent, honing it and providing it with an opportunity perform across the country.

The group consists of multi-lingual and dynamic singers all lead by the visionary and founder Mr Kenny Shibambu. With a 9 piece band, a string quartet and a 20 person choir, the musical ensamble has pulled out all the stops to ensure that their 5th album is the best one yet.

From the first track “You Brought Us Through” to the last track “We Give You Glory”, The 19 track album takes you on a spiritual journey of praise and worship, chronicling God’s restorative power through song. This, we believe, is the reason why they received the ‘Best Gospel Producer (Album)’ nomination.

The choir will be attending the Crown Gospel Music Awards on the 26th of November at FNB Stadium in hopes of collecting all three awards from the categories they were nominated in.
